1. Don’t be afraid to have a personality!
People like personable, passionate, real people. Make your course content humorous, exciting, fun —whatever—just make sure it’s not boring.
2. Keep it concise.
Did you ever have a self-absorbed professor who was in love with their own voice? It was the worst, right? Make sure that there’s a point behind all of your course content—and if you go off on a tangent that’s not necessary, edit it out and save it for a blog post or other marketing content.
3. Tell stories!
Human beings respond to story and metaphors, not just facts and figures. Moreover, stories stick and drive home your lessons harder, enabling learners to remember valuable content and use it to their advantage when needed.
